Susan Chiocchi, CRMT, Dipl. BHS, BFA
Susan Chiocchi (key-o-key) began working with subtle energy more than twenty-five years ago in meditation practice. Her personal studies led to a year and a half of formal training in Reiki culminating with a Reiki Master Teacher certification in 2000. Susan completed a four year training at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in 2003.
Concurrent with her healing studies and practice Susan began an in depth exploration of yoga. She completed the first Teacher Training Richard Freeman offered in 1999. After participating as a student in many of Richard's subsequent trainings, Susan was invited to teach in later trainings and intensives. Susan continues her study of yoga with Richard as well as with teachers from other lineages. She also studies Tibetan yoga practices with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche in the Bon tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
Susan finds that her healing practice and yoga practice both support and enhance one another. Yoga provides a venue for deeper exploration of subtle energy leading to better clarity, understanding and ultimately integration. Perhaps most important, “Yoga helps me build a stronger energy container so that I can move through healing practices with curiosity and openness. Healing work can be very challenging in both subtlity and intensity. The more I can be present with the energies that are moving, the more beneficial the work is.”
Prior to her work with healing and yoga Susan was a professional Illustrator. She has a BFA. Some of her illustrations can be found throughout this website. Susan is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher and has a diploma in Brennan Healing Science. She has a private healing practice in Boulder. Susan teaches Reiki in workshops and apprentiships. She teaches yoga for Richard Freeman’s Yoga Workshop and privately.
