Anyone can learn to practice Reiki. All that is truly required is an open heart. Most young children can naturally do Reiki with little instruction. There are many different modalities of hands on or energetic healing. Unique to Reiki is the attunement process during which the Reiki symbols are passed from teacher to student. The Reiki Attunements serve to open and expand the primary energy meridians and chakras enhancing the students ability to channel healing energy. Additionally, attunements initiate the student into the healing lineage of Reiki Masters. All Reiki practitioners can trace their lineage back to Mikao Usui. We are just beginning to develop an understanding of the significance of a healing lineage.
