Loving Kindness Meditation

Loving-kindness meditation cultivates our mind

to include unselfish and unconditional kindness for all beings.

It involves energetically sending goodwill, kindness, and warmth

towards others by silently repeating a series of mantras.

(also called “metta” or "maitri" meditation)

The Practice

Sit comfortably with your spine erect. Feel the support of the ground beneath you.

Feel the movement of your breath.

Imagine, visualize and feel who you are connecting with.

From the spaciousness of your heart embody these phrases as you say them silently.

May you be safe.
May you be well.
May you be happy.
May you be peaceful.
May you be filled with
      loving kindness.
